Funny Pics: LO and tutorial

Hi scrappin' folks!
Today I posted my very first tutorial on SCC blog: it's about how to do flower embellies with paper circles. Well, actually it is a very small thing, but many beginners might find it useful ;-).
Here is my LO: Funny Pics... me doing silly faces with little GU, ahahahhhh!

Oggi ho postato sul blog di SCC il mio primo tutorial, dove spiego come fare i fiori con dei cerchi di carta. A dir la verità è proprio una piccola cosa, ma coloro che hanno iniziato da poco a scrappare potrebbero trovarlo utile ;-). Tutti i dettagli in italiano li potete leggere sul blog di SCC.
Ecco qui il mio LO: Foto Buffe... io che faccio le facce sceme con la Gu, ahahahhhh!!!





Patterned papers: Love, Elsie and Pink Paislee. Chipboard letters: Prima. Sticker letters: Jenni Bowlin. Other stickers: 7 Gypsies. Grungeboard frame: Tim Holtz. Mini squared brads: Queen and Company. Fabric: Nuno+. Vintage book pages and buttons: Zombie Parts.



And that's how I did the paper flowers.

For this page I used some old books pages and vintage buttons (everything from Zombie Parts on Etsy):






I handcut some paper circles from different dimensions, I rubbed them and inked them:







Then I took some different paper circles and fixed them together with a button:







You can also fix the layers with brads, glue or stitching.

OLW challenge #36: Change

Hello scrappers!
A few days ago I read somewhere a beautiful Gandhi quote: be the Change you want to see in this World. I found it was perfect for the last OLW Word Up: Change!
Here is my LO:

Qualche giorno fa ho letto da qualche parte una bellissima frase di Gandhi la cui traduzione in italiano equivale più o meno a *sii tu il cambiamento che vuoi vedere in questo mondo* ... e l'ho trovata proprio perfetta per l'ultima sfida di OLW: Change!
Ecco il LO che ho realizzato per l'occasione:

This time I tried to do something different, using only papers and an Elsie-inspired very long painted title, oh... and some stitching too ;-). I had so much fun with brushes and paint ;-)... soon I'll post a step-by-step *only for dummies* tutorial for painting your own title, ehehehhh ...

Questa volta ho cercato di fare un LO un pò diverso, usando solo carte e dipingendo *alla Elsie*un titolo molto lungo e colorato, oh ... e non poteva mancare qualche cucitura a mano con il filo di lana (Alice, ho usato il punto festone, hai visto?!? Grazie per avermelo insegnato! ... è meglio che non faccio la fighetta, prima di ricordarmi come partire ci ho messo mezz'ora buona, LOL!). Mi sono divertita un sacco alle prese con pennelli e colori... a breve inserirò le foto del *work-in-progress* del mio titolo: potrebbe essere utile a chi è negato come me con i pennelli... buttatevi, potreste stupirvi di voi stesse ;-)!

Selezione Speciale 2008 - SCC contest: challenge #1

La prima sfida è ispirata al film francese *Une affaire de femmes* (un affare di donne), e queste sono le regole da seguire:
1) usare prevalentemente il colore rosa
2) usare le parole *un affare di donne* da qualche parte sul LO
3) il journaling deve essere nascosto

fuori per il weekend

Ok, lo scorso weekend è stato un delirio... notti in bianco (non per scrappare, LOL), molari che vogliono spuntare e fanno male, malanni di stagione, tempo schifoso... ma questo sarà diverso :-D :-D :-D! Ohhh sì! Questo weekend si preannuncia stra-fantastico e divertente ... perchè mollo tutto e vado qui:

... per ritrovare *vecchie* amiche e per conoscerne di nuove ^_^!

Eeeeeee ... lunedì tenevi pronte perchè finalmente inizierà la Selezione Speciale 2008:

Sono così emozionata!!! Non vedo l'ora di conoscere il tema del primo LO 0_o !!! Ahahahhh... sono pronta a sudare sette camicie e a fare le ore piccole (ancor più piccole di quelle che faccio adesso, LOL!) per tentare di accaparrarmi tutto questo: voglio quel trolley!!! ...per avere tanti pacchettini pieni di sfiziose cosine che stanno attraversando l'oceano e che attendono solo di essere scrappate ;-P

Scrapmojo challenge #21

Hey all!
I had so much fun this time with the new Scrapmojo Challenge, ahahahhh ... We had to use a bumper sticker saying on the LO: I did a Google search and I found so many funny saying, LOL ... I decided to use Dog Is My Copilot 'cause I had the perfect pic for it, ;-).
We also had to use some plastic on the LO: I used the red plastic letters stolen from Gughi's magnetic blackboard, ehehhhh. Here it is:

Mi sono veramente divertita da matti con l'ultima sfida Scrapmojo, ahahhhh... Bisognava usare una delle frasi che si trovano stampate sui bumper sticker (che, per chi non lo sapesse, sono quegli adesivi rettangolari che tanti americani attaccano ai paraurti delle proprie auto, con frasi buffe, slogan e battute varie). Dopo una lunga ricerca su Google dove ho trovato centinaia di frasi esilaranti, ho scelto Dog is my Copilot, ehehhh...
Inoltre bisognava usare sul LO della plastica: io ho usato le lettere di plastica della lavagna magnetica della Gughi, attaccate con la colla a caldo ;-). Ecco qua il mio LO:

In questa giornata di afa e caldo torrido (settembre?!?), dopo aver sistemato la piccola Gughi dai miei, dopo essermi presa un bel pasticcone per l'emicrania ed aver aspettato che facesse il suo effetto, mi sono chiusa in camera con l'aria condizionata sparata a mille alla ricerca di qualche bella stoffina da comprare su internet ... ed ho trovato questo fantastico negozio: Nuno+. Ahahahh ...adesso sto aspettando di ricevere questi adorabili scampolini ...
